Here comes the cake, here comes the cake...

Well here it is my first wedding cake. I made up round chocolate cakes and iced them with buttercream icing, a few days in advance I made up a bunch of daisies with a foundant recipe that my sister had given to me. I must say it does taste a whole lot different then store bought foundant. I also sprinkled the flowers with pink pearl dust so it gave is a shine a look of a real flower very awsome tecnique. You can't really tell from this picture but it does sparkle. So this is the way it came together...

Here are the top two layers that are going to be sitting on the pillars. I put my dasies and leafs all around the cake.

This is the bottom layer I had extra flowers so I made a small bunch of flowers to go in between the cakes.

This cake is made out of foundant and them put on a dowl rod to place on top of the cake. I also did pearl dust on the cake to and it was great.

Here is the cake assembled at the church that it was at. This is a picture of the top layers with the foundant cake on top.

And here is a picture of the whole cake. I have more pictures of the cake but with the white table cloth this was really the best I could get. The bride said the she wasn't expecting something that beautiful, made me feel great. Anyway enjoy.

Christmas here and gone

Christmas went by really fast this year is seems like I didn't have much time to decorate. I love to decorate for Christmas one of my favorite holidays.

On December 20th we had Christmas at Willie's parents house because they spent it up in Colorado with Willie's grandparents. The kids had fun and got lots from Aunts and uncles and grandparents. Zeona was introduced to makeup (how fun). The kids also got a giant gumball machine from there Uncle. It was great fun.

We didn't do much this Christmas we stayed home and had a nice Christmas here. My parents came Christmas day and we had fun and did lots of visiting. We went shopping on Friday hopping to find sales but there wasn't much. The kids got lots of goodies from more Aunts and grandparents. I think the biggest hit was what William got from his Aunt Julie and Uncle Patrick, He-Man. The kids had never seen He-man till now but they love it they run around the house playing He-man.

Here are the kids on Christmas eve writing a note to Santa on a plate that we put cookies on. Santa used the dry erase marker and wrote them a note back very nice of him.

Each of the girls got a life size barbie from santa here is Syndl with hers which is a ballerina barbie and Zeona got a princess barbie. William got a robot but I never got a picture of him with his.

After Willie got home from work we opened gifts and Willie for the longest time has been asking for a Gitar Hero so he finally got one.

Here are the kids jumping on their new trampoline that Grandma and Grandpa help put up.
